When I prayed to God....I asked for
A "Reason"
A reason to get up every morning
A reason to comb my hair
A reason to breathe in and out
A reason to care
A reason to go on living
A reason to have no doubt
A reason to keep on going
A reason to even go out
I asked for something simple
Just a "Reason"
I wasn't specific
I didn't define
Just stop the ache
in this heart of mine
It could have been a flower
or a child down the street
A new friend that lives close
so sometimes we could meet
But God knew what I needed
and I left it in His hands
I know that for me
He has great plans
